Listened to the audiobook on a walk today as it's just over an hour in length. At times this really resonated with me and other times I found her metaphors to be very odd ... "I am not street meat, I am homemade jam" ??? not really sure what this means since I love STREET MEAT... I was also surprised at how sexually explicit it was. Which I didn't mind, but I'd never known her poetry to be so... graphic. Guess Twitter doesn't share the poems about female oral sex or mutual masturbation since it doesn't really fit the sad girl aesthetic.

For me the biggest obstacle was the flow. While, I understood it was broken into the hurting/loving/breaking/healing.... I didn't notice a huge shift each 'chapter.' In fact, if I wasn't aware of it being broken down like that before listening/reading I'd have never realized there was any division of the content at all.
