The Ghosts of Rathalla by Matthew K. Perkins
The Ghosts of Rathalla takes place in a unique setting where our two main characters journey across a continent to deliver a message in hopes of stopping a war.
It is full of deep lore and history which affects every decision the characters make. From reincarnation to not riding horses, each religion in this world has a reason they act the way they act.
From the first chapter us as the reader know what the main characters are going to find at the end of their journey, but they do not. This brings a whole heap of anticipation. The book is only about 200 pages, but there’s a whole adventure found within.
