The Bookworm's Guide to Faking It by Emma Hart

5.0

“Rule ten: Deny, deny, de-fucking-ny. Like when your mom asks if you’re a virgin and you’re… not.”

Holley Stuart has a problem, and his name is Sebastian Stone. Sure, they used to be best friends, but that was before he kissed her nemesis at their senior prom. She thought he was gone for good when he joined the Montana Bears and became the hottest pitcher in the league. Unfortunately, he’s back in White Peak due to a shoulder injury and now she has to do her damnedest to avoid him.

Sebastian knows Holley is avoiding him, he just doesn’t know why. Lucky for him, he knows exactly where she works. He also is in desperate need for a date to his sister’s wedding and is determined to convince Holley. Even though she reluctantly agrees, Sebastian is just thrilled that he gets to spend time with her. Things go awry when Sebastian’s mother tells his whole family that they’re dating.

Now Holley has to figure out a way to avoid Sebastian, keep his grandfather from telling her grandmother that they’re “dating”, and remind herself why she hates Sebastian in the first place. Unfortunately, none of those things are as easy as they seem. Sebastian is persistent, his grandfather is chatty, and the more she thinks about it it seems like she doesn’t hate Sebastian as much as she thought.

Emma Hart can do no wrong in her books. This may be my favorite one so far! Much like [b: The Bookworm’s Guide to Dating|51082212|The Bookworm's Guide to Dating (The Bookworm's Guide, #1)|Emma Hart|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1594941083l/51082212._SY75_.jpg|75875300], I love the interaction between Holley and Sebastian. They’re real and playful. I’m a sucker for a good fake-relationship trope, and The Bookworm’s Guide to Faking It absolutely delivers! As per usual, this is an easy, fun, and super cute read. I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in the series!
