Heartless by Marissa Meyer

*Begins to play my own nonexistent rendition of The Joker and the Queen by Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift in minor key with a banger crescendo ending*

I think all my GR friends know by now that I'm picky about fairytale retellings. I especially don't like it when they come from a book that's meant to be child-like. Wonderland and the Other Side of the Looking Glass is supposed to be Alice's dream. I was pretty bored in the middle on the book, but I think that was just a me problem.
