An Accidental Death by Peter Grainger
2.0
I finished listening to AN ACCIDENTAL DEATH minutes ago and I would struggle to give you a summary of the story line. I did not find it engaging.
This book was apparently first published in 2013 but for my personal tastes, it has not aged well. The mystery and investigation was lacklustre, the pacing of the story telling felt uneven and I have no idea what I was meant to think about DC Smith; his personality was all over the place.
Gildart Jackson narrated the version I listened to. His voice was clear and crisp but that's about it. The narration often swayed between robotic and a documentary voice-over.
1.5 stars
