Takedown Twenty
by Janet Evanovich
I got this book the day before it was released straight from Random House as a perk for being a loyal JE fancorps member. It took me a while to actually read it due to the holidays. Once I did read it, I couldn't put it down. Sometimes I want to crawl into my book and smack everyone in the head. This was one of those times. It is SO frustrating to see that Stephanie can't get her life straight but, guess what?! That's how some people are. I know people EXACTLY like Stephanie. They're working crappy jobs, dating the wrong guys and not doing anything about it and all the time wondering why their life isn't going anywhere. This is natural progression with some people and that is what keeps me coming back for more. It's one step forward and two steps back with Stephanie. I wouldn't be surprised if all this Ranger vs Morelli crap goes out the window when some new guy shows up and is EVERYTHING Stephanie needs. Sometimes you think you have to settle with one or the other and in reality you just need to walk away and start fresh. Give it a chance people. Imagine it's real life and not just a story to plow through. Looking forward to #21!!
