Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter

dark emotional mysterious sad tense medium-paced

4.5

I would happily give this novel 5 stars, it was entertaining, and grabbed you from the beginning, but it has a huge plot hole that I just can’t get past.
Why the heck would Paul fake his death, have everything in his life planned out including the fake death, but leave all of that evidence for his wife to find? Because he thought she’d never look? The author couldn’t come up with anything better than that? Why would a grieving wife not look through your things either to remember you or to simply get your affairs in order? He’s an idiot. Plan your death and get rid of the evidence; move the computer, hide the hard drive. The book is great, but the whole premise, the driving force of the book makes so sense, which ruins a great read.
