If I can say nothing else for Scott Sigler, he's an entertaining writer and I'm certain he knows it. Not that I think his work is bad or that I wouldn't recommend it, but not really unique or thought-provoking. His characters are also all basically caricatures, but he's pretty good at predicting what plot points the reader will see as cliche and avoiding them.
Without a doubt, though, he is a terrific narrator. I would immediately recommend him as one of the best audio book readers I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
And his work is addictive. I'm halfway through the second book in the series already.
