I don’t even know what to say. This was bad. I loved Hollow Hellion. It was a great mix of unhinged crazy,  romance, and an actual plot. This one? It was just bad. I was bored. Even through the spice I was just skimming through. Nothing really starts happening that resembles a plot until half way through the book. I thought the series had an overarching plot with The Shadows? This one didn’t do much of anything with them. The revenge plot for the FMC had potential. Her being free and going to find the guys.. that could have been something. There are reveals we get that could have been worked in the plot throughout the book that gets puzzled together. Instead it’s like oh hey I need to wrap this up so boom here are reveals that I have no foreshadowing to.. the end.

This one needed some good editing. Misspelled words (not talking about the British English stuff), missing words, incorrectly used words, hell.. add continuity issues because there’s a chapter where Noir is talking but there’s no lead in that Noir is in that scene… it takes a whole page to find out “she” is Noir. There are words capitalized in the middle of sentences. And Jesus Christ.. ain’t isn’t a word unless you’re a fucking hillbilly. Add “wonna” and “gonna” I was going crazy.

I hate that I pre ordered this and paid for it.
