The first in a planned trilogy, the short synopis of this book is action, steampunk, and dragons. It's an excellent and compelling story told as a braided narrative. The world is interesting and unique. Overall a refreshingly original story that kept interest high. Recommended.
NB: While the book is recommended, the audiobook is NOT. The narrator was only just bearable. He had the maddening habit of reading everything in a monotone, and seemed to ignore punctuation, which made it more difficult thant it needed to be to understand when a change of speaker was taking place. You get used to it a bit after a while, but ....
