Karma's a Beach by Samantha Chase
Liv is an author on a deadline with a case of writer's block. She's trying to branch out from her typical genre, and it's got her a bit stressed. She's headed back to North Carolina for a month long beach vacation with her best friends. But first, she is attending a funeral for her ex-boyfriend. The trip isn't starting off too great. She has the absolute worst luck when traveling. She's cursed with multiple delays, horrible people trying to take her seat, and lost luggage. To top it off, she's agreed to write the eulogy for her ex, and she has no idea what to write. The one bright spot in the day, her super cute seat mate.
Ash is super tired from being a workaholic. He's in the tech field and does a ton of traveling for work. He's headed back home to North Carolina for a funeral for his college roommate and friend. Then he's off with the boys for a short beach vacation. What he didn't plan on was meeting a woman on the plane that he shares an immediate connection with.
Surprise, surprise... they both end up at the funeral and on vacation together! They were both promised girls/boys trips, but their friends have changed the plans, and now it's a coed trip.
This is a story about being true to yourself and letting yourself live a full life. It's got a smidge of fake dating, but it turns to insta love pretty quick. There's plenty of friend and family drama to keep you entertained. I laughed quite a bit and even got a little teary-eyed at a few points.
I received an ARC of this book, but these opinions are my own. I would like to thank the author, Samantha Chase, and The Author Agency for allowing me the privilege of reading her work. ❤️
