Three Tales of My Father's Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett

5.0

My Father's Dragon is a children's book that my parents read to me when I was younger. Three Tales of My Father's Dragon is the complete volume of all three stories of Elmer Elevator and his baby dragon friend, Boris.
In the first story, Elmer is told by an elderly cat about a baby dragon trapped on Wild Island. Elmer, who wants to become a pilot and explore the skies, is intrigued. The cat promises him that the baby dragon will be grateful for rescue and fly him around. Elmer and the cat construct a plan and Elmer sets off to Wild Island to save the baby dragon. Elmer proceeds to out wit the animals of Wild Island and help them.
The second story takes place after Elmer and the baby dragon escape Wild Island. They fly through a storm and find a small island inhabited by canaries. The king of the canaries is dying of curiosity, and Elmer decides to save him.
In the last story, the baby dragon, Boris, ventures back to his homeland to find his family, only to discover men surrounding their land. The men aim to capture the dragons. Boris must make a plan with Elmer and save his family.
This was one of my favorite childhood books, it has charming illustrations and I recommend you read it to young children or your dog/cat. It's a charming read and super easy to follow, as it was written for kids.

READ THIS BOOK, plz.
