Becoming by Michelle Obama

Does this even need an explanation?!

Michelle Obama really spilled her heart out in this; I feel like she's my best friend now because of how much insight she provided about her life but also her innermost feelings before and throughout Barack Obama's presidency. This book really humanizes Michelle and allows you to feel for her, especially during all the times she's longing and struggling simply to find normalcy in her everyday life while trying her best to let her daughters live as normally as possible as well. One of my favorite parts was of course when she meets Barack, and she shares how much they love each other and how important setting aside time for each other is for them. I also absolutely loved every time Michelle interacted with the Queen of England, especially when they were laughing together about how much their shoes made their feet hurt, and then hugging and appalling everyone by doing so. It's truly amazing and inspiring how much the Obamas have done. I'm so glad they exist and that this book exists.
