Dirty Forty
by Mia Monroe
Zach and Dom have been best friends since 3rd grade. When they were 21 they made the marriage pact, you know the one where if you're not married you marry your friend.
Flash forward to Dom's 39th birthday and he wants to cash in on that promise to appease his Italian family. I really loved his mother and wish we had seen more of her. Zach is reluctant because even though he loves his best friend/roommate/business partner, he wants passion and since Dom is straight unlike Zach he's not sure if he can go through with it.
Dom goes through a sexual awakening via the help of dates. Sydney and Isaac were great and I hope to see them in another book. Same with Hayden.
This was a cute story. Pretty low angst. Was it excellent? No, it probably won't stay with me as well as her other series. I would call it a good palette cleanser after an intense book. Worth a read especially if we see the side characters in other books.
* I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
