P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han
3.0

AGH I'm so torn with this book. I always do this too; I pick a book I normally wouldn't read just to keep things interesting (broaden my horizons or whatever) and its tough at first to get going but once I'm going I'm hooked. 'To all the boys I've loved before' was extremely cute and I was rooting for Peter and Lara Jean but this book switched all that. Once John whatever the third came into the picture I found myself rooting tooting and hollering for him and Lara Jean. The whole thing with Gen made me so pissed like HOLY SHIT WHAT A BITCH. That sucks she's going through what she's going through but really? When we find out why she's such a bitch (Lara Jean and Peter kissed in the SEVENTH GRADE...they are currently juniors in high school) she tells Lara Jean to "grow up" when she tries to mend their relationship at least a little when Gen is still hung up on something that happened in SEVENTH GRADE. WTF GEN. Also I totally think LJ made the right call breaking up with Peter, her points were so true and correct I was so proud but then she ends up blaming herself and they get back together "for real". Yeah, maybe she could have been more confident in the relationship but it was her first real relationship and honestly, how could you? So yeah...I wanted her to end up with John. Peter was acting so immature towards the end and I just couldn't with him anymore. Sorry but John and LJ 5ever. BESIDES THE ENDING THOUGH, this book was such a perfect representation of high school and how emotional and naïve everyone, EVERYONE is. I loved the honesty and nostalgia it brought (I graduated 3 months ago lololol). Also such a nice break from sci-fi and fantasy books. So adorable, definitely worth the read!
