The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin

5.0

Beautifully written (although in places with language of its time, which in modern science would not be acceptable), this is a book I think everyone should read. Darwin shows humility in the face of his firm conviction, and painstakingly leads the reader through every argument for, and every possible counterpoint against, his theory, highlighting some of the wonders of the natural world as it was known in his day. It's a great way to see how far we've come since his era, while gaining an insight into a brilliant mind.
