A Dance with Dragons
by George R.R. Martin
These books become progressively more prone to gratuitous vulgar scenes: things that serve absolutely no purpose. There’s no argument for historical accuracy in that court, it’s just flat out unnecessary. The story is still very well written, which is the only reason this book has 2 stars from me. I took another star because there is too much going on, to the point of things being underdeveloped or altogether dropped and seemingly forgotten. It’s still a good read since the craftsmanship is so high quality, but I have a lot of reserves about it.
