Murder on the Île Sordou by M.L. Longworth

5.0

I love this episode of the serial, and here’s why: I could tell from this book that the author has a heart. Every character is rendered simply with compassion and humanity. I can tell through this story that she is kind hearted and wants to help readers not feel alone in the world. What do I mean by this? You’ll see it in the interview with the Parisian wife. The frustrated teenaged son. In the denouement (which did stretch on a bit long). But whatever the case, this book captures a sense of place, presents character studies, and delivers a murder mystery with misdirection and red herrings. It’s the perfect summer mystery read.
