Holly Jackson is an expert at keeping the reader on their toes with her thrillers, but also able to pack and emotional gut-punch of epic proportions. Jet was awkward at first lol but she softened on me throughout the story (we all deal with grief in such different ways, I had to take my own head out of it for a bit). Jet's relationship with Billy was so endearing, I fell into step with their detective partner shenanigans. Made a week with them feel like a lifetime :') I will say, as this is Holly Jackson's first novel in adult fiction it still read SO MUCH like YA! I think it will take some time for the adult voice to truly come out, characterization reminded me too much of AGGGTM. (But seeing as I am a YA fan, I still enjoyed) A 4 star read for me :D
