I think this is the book that has made me laugh the most out of any I've read so far. The kind of humor Helen uses is timeless, and one can see their worst aspects reflected on Bridget in a very cathartic way. I was already a big fan of the movie (watched it for the first time in 2018) and I've got to say, the humor was really well translated in the adaptation. And holy cow, Helen really manifested her two male leads in the book.
