Spoilers etc-I almost feel bad for these authors. They have such a hard time finishing up these series. Cuz wtf was this?! I gave the last book a pass because I thought it was just money grabbing filler, but she did the same thing in this one. It’s a romantasy and the romance was the dullest thing I’ve read in a long time. And the fantasy was given more attention but there wasn’t enough plot to keep it interesting. Introducing all those very convenient new fae powers at the last minute to save the day…OK. Gwyn was a supremely annoying character. And Keira is all of a sudden deaf and blind. Definitely too busy to pay attention to Gwyn acting all shifty on multiple occasions. Riven loses his powers and is now just a depressed boring whipping post. Serra is also depressed and boring the whole book. Nik isn’t even in the story but he’s depressed and boring as well. And he was in that last battle for about two sentences before ruining everything and going back to his depression. We just had book three which was nothing but Keera dealing with her depression. I’m so sick of Brenna and she never even got screen time-you loved her, I promise we get it! It’s so repetitive. Also why did they keep fighting at night when they know that’s when the monsters are out?
