The discrimination and abuse was hard to even read about. Then to show the discrimination STILL faced is even harder! 

The mystery of the historical timeline and suspense of the current blended so well together. 

I love this author's ability to rope me in and take me along on a wild ride that also makes me think.

I just wish there was music to underscore the depth of this author's stories. I know that's way too much to ask.
