Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde-4.5/5
I’m was quite impressed with this story obviously I knew the twist going into it but it shocked me that the perspective that we get really isn’t for Jekyll until the last chapter we mainly focus on Mr utterson’s perspective and I really like that. The only downside to this story is that I wish it was longer and we got to hear more of Hyde terrorising the streets of London.
The body snatcher-4/5
This one has very similar themes as dr Jekyll and mr Hyde but I would say is quite different which I appreciate that cause nobody wants to read the same story twice, but I will say that the twist in this was quite shocking to me I thought it was going to go a more demon or they’re not actually dead way so that was nice.
Olalla-2/5
I just couldn’t get into this at all, it kinda felt empty and maybe that’s what you’re supposed to feel but I just spent the entire part bored waiting to move on to the next story and it’s a shame cause I do like vampires and the social commentary that comes with them but this was a pass for me.
A chapter on dreams-3/5
Nothing really to say other than it’s nice to know that I could turn my dreams into a good novel
Diagnosing Jekyll-3/5
An interesting look at the historical aspects of how Jekyll and Hyde may have been created it does bring in the question how vastly different certain characters would be if they were made only a decade or so later or even in a modern era
