I loved the premise of this book, and the story did not disappoint! Locked in a trap, who will the characters choose to die? The book is fast-paced and filled with twists and turns. Whilst the characters do fit into the stereotypical YA high-school mould, I enjoyed the predictability of this, as it left the reader to focus on the increasing pressure as time begins to run out. The story alternates between the present and the months leading up to the scholarship dinner, which cleverly introduces the characters and how they usually interact. I loved the ending and the consideration given to the fact that actions and words can have consequences. I can’t wait for this author’s next book!
