Half a Life by Darin Strauss

3.0

Short and blunt. Other reviews for this book touch upon what it means to try our human best, and fail, but to me this story feels very much like a funeral. Strauss lays the story of the events, and what came after, to rest. In reading it, I hoped so desperately that he found the peace that seemed to elude him for all those years.

The words Celine's mother says to him at her daughter's funeral will stay with me for a long time.
