This book took a lot out of me, and not just because of its strong content. I found the characters generally likeable, and their struggles made them seem very real and human. At times, it was hard to seperate their experience from the universal experience of being a young adult in high school. At the same time, it was truly representative and each character was complex. I think the pacing was a little bit off at times, and the resolution felt a little forced to me.
