A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess

I don't know...how I feel about this.

On one hand I do believe that people deserve a second chance but on another I can't tell if the message of this book only extends to white heterosexual men. So, yeah. Can you imagine the prison industry filled with POC just waiting for trial because they can't afford bail. There's so much to consider in this day and age that I wonder how exactly the morals of this book translates. I think that if people want to change it should come from a place of honesty. Autonomy and consent should be a part of transformation/rehabilitation. Yet, I couldn't help but be unsatisfied of the ending. It just seems blasé and frankly I'll die mad about it.

I mean, I do enjoy the film better.
