I got this through an Amazon promo and thought I'd give it a try. The premise of the book is promising and intriguing, magicians that bond to certain mediums and have special control over them. It's a different twist on magic that is fun, but some parts were hard to get through, nothing to pull me back in frequently enough, it took me a good year to get back to finishing it. It also felt a bit tween and the love story was pretty cheesy. That said, I might give book #2 a try and I could see myself recommending it to people who really enjoy the magic fantasy genre.
