The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton
4.0

Dhonielle Clayton's The Belles was a good start to a promising literary career. She takes us into the fictional land of Orleans where beauty is coveted. Beauty can't mask the ugly truth that is a person's true personality. The Belles are commanded to provide the illusion of beauty to the royals and those who can afford it. What price are some willing to pay to hide the ugliness within themselves. What happens when a naive Belle achieves the coveted role of favorite only to find that even her abilities won't pricy her from evil in high places?
