Creation in Death by J.D. Robb
4.0
This was a nice Eve Dallas book but it wasn't that creative. I hate it when it follows up on a previous case that Robb never wrote. How am I supposed to possibly understand a case that occurred nine years ago in your world if you didn't previously mention it?! It was an interesting murder premise and I love the ultimate power move Eve pulled in the final interview. My only complaint is that I did not like the unnecessary fight Feeney pulled with Dallas. I'm too emotionally invested in these characters and I did not care one bit for him yelling at her when she discovered a new aspect of the case without consulting him before a briefing. She's trying to help you, bro! It's for the good of the case! It was also super weird to read this in hardcover because I removed the dust jacket to protect it and I was not used to the odd breakup of text to fit the pages. It was a cool installment but I am banging my fists on the examination table for some more Dr. Louise and have a rad gossip fest with the medical examiner, Dr. Morris.
