Ruthless Saint
by S. Massery
For the past 2yrs Amelie has been getting used to the fact she was being the bride in an arranged marriage to Wilder DeSantis, first son in the DeSantis line.
The day of the wedding it all goes wrong. Instead of wearing his ring, she's wearing his blood and is whisked off on a plane with his younger half brother Luca, after a confusing 5min wedding vow ceremony.
Amelie is a sweet character and Luca treats her terribly, especially when they return the USA. He's the perfect epitome of the term anti-hero! He changes so much when he's in America and he loses Amelie for good after doing something she always begged him not too.
Amelie fell in love with Italy and the family of Luca she met there. However, as with all Mafia, there's a territory there that Luca clashes with. Amelie rakes it upon herself to make it so she can live in peace there - a brilliant example of how her character has grown and more self assured.
Luca is horrified by the way he'd left her. He did think he was acting in her safety but it was the opposite.
Luca wants - and needs - Amelie. He realises he loves her. He doesn't care about the family. He was always happiest in Italy too...
But will his dad let him go so easy? Will he be able to come back to Italy with the other Mafia family ready to pounce?
And more important... Will Amelie listen to him? Give him a chance??
