Danse Macabre by Stephen King
4.0
This book is full of King's ideas about the horror culture in its entirety. It's almost perfect. Almost, because this book was written in the 80s' and is a bit outdated now. I felt out of place reading it, mostly because I did not grow up in the era that King writes this book in and cannot relate to many of the things that he discusses in the book. I haven't seen the TV shows he talks about, growing up I didn't watch most of the films he talks about. I would love an updated version of this book, discussing about the genre from the 90s' to the present.
Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable book and it was amusing to take a peek at what goes on in the mind of one of my favourite writers. I wouldn't recommend this for everyone though. I'd recommend it to the fans of horror, the dreamers, the weirdos.
