In this book i wanted to just hit the heroine. She says she loves Max but then goes undercover and doesn't say good bye face to face or call. Then when Max does something she doesn't like or shows more of his animal side she pulls away. However when she needs help to solve her case it is OK to put him in. I thought we dealt with this in the last three books. For me she either loves him and excepts him, the good and the bad or she doesn't. Max is not much better. He gets mad at Cee Cee for telling her partner about his wife and son. Then Max goes and but him self in the same danger. Max is suppose to be smart but can not see people that are using him or that Cee Cee's partner is totally out to get him. He says he respects Cee Cee undercover operation but then gets involved in it and is "helping". Overall this book was disappointing on many levels.
