This still has Elliot Wake’s complicated/damaged characters and beautiful writing. The plot was good but something about this book didn’t land for me the same way that Black Iris or Unteachable did.
I appreciate the fact that Elliot’s books help her work through how she’s feeling and I think she does a great job. It’s refreshing to read an own voices book.
