4:50 from Paddington: A Miss Marple Mystery by Agatha Christie

And Christie does it again! While it had been a while since I heard this story the first time, I remembered the murderer but not the motive. I found it to be quite the puzzle, though in the end in was rather brilliant.

What I loved best was the way Christie showed interpersonal relationships in this book! Lucy and Miss Marple. Miss Marple and Inspector Craddock. Lucy, Bryan, and Alexander. Plus, Alexander & James were hilarious, and Lucy is a definite favourite!

The love triangle isn’t my favourite, and I do wish there was a resolution for it instead of being open ended—but alas. I have my preference and it will be left at that.
