In the beginning, I thought I was really going to like this. I could relate to the FMC and her mental health struggles. But I as I was reading it felt like the book was dark just to shock you and lacked feeling. A lot of telling instead of showing. And things would happen with no reasoning or explanation to follow it. It also felt like we were being led up to a big spicy scene, only for it to be skimmed over and cut short.
