Sinister Sisterhood by Jane Badrock
4.0

Elle loves animals and she loves her boyfriend David, but when Elle discovers that he has been less than faithful she decides on a change of scenery, heading to India to see Pat, her aunt who lives near a tiger reserve. As Elle’s time in India grows, so does her desire to do anything to protect the welfare of the animals she loves so much. Assembling a team of women who are sinister in their own ways, Elle goes after the poachers that are hunting her beloved animals, but not all those within her sisterhood are as dedicated to Elle’s cause as she believes.

Sinister Sisterhood is a novel full of twists and turns, action and enjoyable characters. So many of the characters are strong women who come from such a wide variety of places and circumstances, and I like how unique they all were. Pat is, without a shadow of a doubt, my favorite character and every page I got to spend with her was great. The timeline does jump around some, and there were times in the beginning when I would find myself a little lost, but once I understood the way it was laid out my reading went much smoother and I was better able to immerse myself within the story. The ending was my favorite part and completely unexpected. Sinister Sisterhood is a page-turner of a novel that tackles the topic of trophy hunting while providing the reader with an entertaining web of personal desires. I recommend to readers that love animals and a good story.
