The King's Men by Nora Sakavic

I honestly am out of words to describe how I'm feeling right now. Of all the books I've ever read, there was very few times that I felt pride after finishing it.
I'm proud of this story and its characters, shit, how am I proud of these characters... I became so attached to them in the course of this story and it happened so effortlessly that it took me by surprise and by the end of it, I was crying and cheering even for the most selfish character of the group and he totally deserved it. From how this story started to how it ended it's just beautiful, even more considering how intense and dark it is, how much shit the characters went through, but I guess that is what makes the ending so great. It felt like cheering for the underdog.
This story was not what I expected when I started, but now I can say without a doubt that I love everything about it.
