Tartuffe is a farce that takes on religious hypocrisy. It's got a good dose of humor and also has a romantic subplot. I found Dorine's courageous speeches imbued with irony, very entertaining. The play wraps up quickly though with a deus ex machina ending and normalcy is restored with the protagonist rescued from a sticky situation.
