TWO TRUTHS AND A LIE by Ellen McGarrahan⠀
⠀
I was gifted an ARC e-copy of this through #NetGalley. This book is to be published on February 2, 2021.⠀
⠀
Jesse Tafero has been wrongfully accused of murdering two police officers at a rest stop. Ellen, a reporter turned private investigator, becomes infatuated with this case after seeing Jesse die by electric chair. ⠀
⠀
Unfortunately, I had to DNF this book. The pacing of this was soooo slooooow. The author spent more time talking about herself and her life than the actual case itself. ⠀
⠀
I got halfway through this and it still felt stagnant. With this being the second book that has disappointed me, I’m hoping this doesn’t become a bad reading streak.
