The 42nd Parallel by John Dos Passos
3.0

John Dos Passos was a Lost Generation writer that I'd never heard of whose writing mixes narrative, stream-of-consciousness, headlines of the time (book one, very early 20th C), and popular songs (which the narrator of the audio book actually sang). It's possible I hadn't heard of him because he was a socialist, & therefore high schools were nudged to make us read Hemingway instead, but it's also possible that I just haven't been paying attention.

I wonder who else was blacklisted that I should read.
