Not Everything Dies by Carlos Quevedo, John Patrick Kennedy

4.0

Hooray! This is the book the first one should have been. Actually, the first book should probably have just been incorporated into this one, and it would have made for a much more compelling story.
Seriously though, this book is miles ahead of the first one. Ruxandra becomes an actual person, with flaws, and growth, and actual character development. She reacts to situations like an actual person, and we get to know her character far better.
The other characters in the story are still rather one-dimensional, but at least we get a little more insight from them.
As for the actual storyline, it actually had a plot and moved along. We got exposition and intrigue, even! I look forward to the third book.
