Wildfire by Hannah Grace

his book couldn’t be more perfect if it tried, and I’m simultaneously so happy I read it but also crushed it’s over!

Wildfire is the second book in the Maple Hills series and if you adored Icebreaker as much as I did, I promise this book will leave you loving Maple Hills even more!

Watching these too dorks learn to accept that they’re worthy of love, that they deserve to be happy and enjoy life, was everything to me! I saw a lot of myself in Rory, the desperation to find a love as fulfilling as the ones we all read about in romance books, wanting so badly to find a place where you feel appreciated and valued, and we can’t forget her praise kink. I just wanted to hug her so bad for all the times she just wanted to be put first by one of the people who is supposed to love her unconditionally. Usually I don’t find myself relating much to the MMC’s in books, but Russ was such a well written character that it felt almost impossible not to! He is someone else who has such a big heart and only wants the absolute best for his loved ones, but was dealt such a tough hand with his dad. It was really refreshing to see the relationship between someone stuggling with addiction and their loved one be portrayed in a really authentic way. And I was so proud of Russ for doing what he needed to on his own terms!
