Class Act by Gianni Holmes
4.0

Thank you to GRR for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

When Gianni Holmes announced this book I was throwing my money in the air. And this book. Guh. It's been a while since an MM book had me that captivated. Class Act follows Emery - a nineteen year old student - and Abe - the school's gym teacher/football coach. Emery comes from an abusive home and Abe is the father of his best friend Mandy. Abe shows Emery that he is loved and cared for... in more ways than one.

This book does involve cheating (Abe cheats on his wife) but there is no cheating between the MCs. Because of that, and knowing Emery gets abused (physically - his father hits him - there is NO SA in this book), I was expecting it to be a lot angstier. But it wasn't. This was relatively low angst. Despite it being a longer book, it didn't feel that way, which is always the sign of a great story and a good author.

Emery and Abe were adorable together and the epilogue was just perfection. I couldn't stop smiling.

If you have this on your TBR, be sure to buy it and read it! It's definitely worth it!
