The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison

mysterious medium-paced

4.0

Good book. There are lots of names that can get confusing, so use the guide at the beginning of the book. The author put a lot of effort into the developing the world and it shows.
This book rewrote my brain. While I was reading it, I kept referring to myself as "we" in my head.
I enjoyed Maia a lot as a character. He is just incredibly likeable and genuine. I enjoyed seeing him come into his own as the emperor. I was predicting that there would be an attempted coup at some point, but I was still really excited when it happened.
