Critical Race Theory, An Introduction by Richard Delgado

3.0

I give this book three stars for the content, not as an endorsement (or lack thereof) for CRT. I came away from this book not super clear on the foundations of CRT. Part of this might be due to the book being written when it was and CRT as it is commonly practiced today simply looks a lot different than it did 2.5 decades ago. Or, maybe the explanations just didn't click. Whatever the reason, for an introduction, it missed the mark for me.

The book gets props for acknowledging that WOC might feel excluded/like their issues are unaddressed by various civil rights groups focused on race, and for talking about jury nullification because that's an issue that's been on my mind lately and I rarely see it talked about.
