The Moment by Douglas Kennedy

Loved the first part of this novel, the narrator pulled me right into his story and was fascinated by the setting of Berlin in the early 80s. Once Thomas meets Petra, I was less & less enamored, their relationship felt contrived and was not believable to me. The story stalls and when we start to hear Petra's story again through her journals it becomes downright tedious.
