The Family Game by Catherine Steadman

3.0

I was super entertained and read this in one sitting. The pacing was great and it kept me on my toes. I’m also really happy I started it around Thanksgiving time which fit perfectly with the book. The mystery of the rich family and their twisted games had me sucked in beginning to end. It is a bit of a slow burn though but since I was so invested in what was happening that worked in my favor. The ending was a bit lackluster and didn’t have the impact I think the author intended and I can’t exactly explain why I feel that way but I do. You do have to suspend your disbelief a bit and there does seem to be some missing links but if you go into it not expecting too much I think you’ll have a good time. I love popcorn thrillers and I would definitely add this one to that category.
