When Scarlett Peckham released a novella revisiting Charlotte Street, I snapped it up. I found the Charlotte Street books last year after listening to a podcast and I was hooked, so a revisit to Mistress Brearly's establishment? Yes, please.

Our heroine is a widow who is starting to realize that she misses intimacy, but isn't sure that she wants to make that next step, until she visits the dressmaker, who seems to know just what she needs/wants and provides her with an introduction to Charlotte Street. There she learns more about herself and her desires than she ever knew and maybe she can finally talk to the handsome stranger she and her dog see daily... or does she know him well already? And does he know her?
