City of Saints & Thieves by Natalie C. Anderson
5.0
*ADVANCE UNCORRECTED GALLEY COPY*
To be released January 24, 2017
RECEIVED FROM Random House #FirstinLine
This novel is the definition of thriller whose pages cannot be turned fast enough. It was impossible not to think about Tina and her story between reading binges. The writing is fantastic (obviously some minor editing corrections still need to be made). I don't think I've seen so many plot twists in one book before, but it worked amazingly well for the story as a whole.
On the sub-surface, Tina's narration opened my eyes to a part of the world - and the conflicts within - that I never would have previously thought of.
Anderson successfully wrote something that made me feel every emotion possible while also teaching me something I never knew. Every age-appropriate reader should pick this one up!
